Sure, but if you go look at https://ssgeos.org/ and their predicition videos, they're suggesting that it's because of a planetary alignment that is causing some sort of EM disturbance resulting in an earthquake. I think they would agree with you this area is ripe for the earthquake, but the timing they had was not coincidental
