Well that’s where you’re wrong - sprawl is the result of a series of shady back room deals at the federal level that made it all but impossible to build traditional small towns and neighborhoods. Nobody voted for it. And those laws are still on the books driving the kind of expensive and ugly development which is choking our countryside
