Not to say you are wrong but I'm still confused. Just searched up when the pen was invented and I'm seeing mostly it was invented in the 1800s though?
Edit: Unless you are talking about ball point pens, in which case, wtf? It was created in 1943, so it wouldn't make sense for Anna at the time to have one...
Edit #2: Nvm, just searched she used a fountain pen, which, was invented in the 1800s. Now I'm more confused.
I would think there are plenty of “debunking” websites with “proof” to discredit the claim at this point, as with anything else.
Looking back now, the diary seems obviously suspicious, as little girls’ diaries aren’t written like novels, especially grade-school classic lit. At a more trusting time in history, they could fool people with the scam, but now knowing how much they lie, I don’t believe them at all, like I don’t believe the passport of a terrorist leapt out of his pocket and fluttered down to the ground when a plane hit the World Trade Center.
Yeah I didn't use google for these searches so I did see the point that you made on one website about the literacy of her writing which is a good point. Or another point about how conveniently only the father was a survivor so no one else from the family can say otherwise. Or that when Anna sent letters to her pen pal her writing is different compared to the diary. The problem I have with the Holocaust deniers and all that, is not that they are questioning the Holocaust but the people behind it always go with "EVERYTHING IS CAUSED BY THE JEWS" so its hard to trust what they are saying because their motive is usually hate driven. Oh god I sound like a libtard when I say that. I already am questioning if the Holocaust was even a thing but at this point in time, I'm putting that at a "I'm gonna wait until the truth comes out on that."
Fair enough. I think with the Holocaust, there’s been so much amplification of the event that many people who are called “deniers” are more questioning the Hollywoodization of it all. Things like the difference between the original Red Cross numbers and the current figure. One interesting explanation I read is that newspapers and history books originally stated that six million Jewish People were “displaced” by the events of WW2, and eventually that turned into six million “killed”, because it made for a better story. But even thinking how this one genocide, out of many genocides in human history, has its own unique title - “The Holocaust” - already suggests there is some propagandistic manipulation going on. I do think it’s fairly undeniable that there was certainly oppression and unfair discrimation of Jewish People under Nazi Germany, and that innocent people were caught up in that, so the victim is there, but it seems like the victim narrative has to be amplified, and that starts to be questionable, especially when poking holes in that amplification is made illegal in certain countries. It reminds me of how the corporate media did the same thing with Covid deaths and how anyone who questioned that was dismissed as evil by society. I also think Hitler was funded by the Rothschilds, so promoting him as some kind of hero is equally inaccurate. Overally my issue is that if there ARE historical deceptions going on, and various grifters exploiting for their own gain, how do we talk about this without being dismissed or censored for “spreading hate”?
