Indeed you are correct. In my country, ANYTHING you say to someone else, could be if wanted by the other person, to be offensive. A women in my country had an altercation with a man in a car park. A bit of a shouting match over something? She walked away and said "have a gay day" because she believed him to be gay.

He reported it as a so called "hate crime" and the police came and smashed her door in at home, arrested her and interviewed her, and from memory charged her with a hate crime!

Language has been weaponised, we need to learn how to use it, but because it makes no logical sense to those of us who don't need to be victims of something every second of every day we don't.

The "reading" of thoughts is the next logical step, if we let them!
