I was donating regularly to a few different charities similar to this one and then about two or three years ago I started to believe (there wasn't any one incident that made me change my mind) that many such charities were scams and the money being sent to them wasn't necessarily being used for helping struggling families or actual "research".

Once you are part of the Great Awakening, then it seems that your mind is ready to accept how much we've actually been deceived about so much throughout our lives.

I don't blame you at all. It's very sobering to realize that many organizations we thought were helping sick kids or people in need, aren't actually doing that.
