There was no original intent for Blue Beam. The sole origin for Project Blue Beam was the musings of a French author several decades ago.
Unclear to me why PBB has become an accepted truth as there's been literally zero corroboration beyond the original writings, and the author made it clear that it was purely speculative.
Does the technology exist to do this? Very likely, yes. But awareness is also very high. I strongly suspect that General Flynn is referring to something far more prosaic than a hologram of a 10,000 foot Jesus.
