I have had a very uneasy feeling on this one for some days now. It's a completely insane time and when the derailment occurred I guess the general public just overlooked it or was made to overlook it. This is very, very serious.
The reporter was arrested, we would have to assume wasn't covering the event the way some people wanted him to. Seems to me that more clampdowns are happening and threats of arrest to anyone filming/reporting.
Here's the thing, I am near this within a few hours, and in the days after it was reported locally as "Dangerous chemicals completely cleared now and disposed of. Nothing to worry about."
And so now, it is like that story never was given.
My husband's son lives there and was evacuated. Norfolk Southern had a meeting there last night. They are really screwing with these people. The people are afraid they have no idea how safe it is.
They knew the bearing box on the axle, called a hot box, was on fire 30 miles before this town. The railroad told them to keep going don't stop. We know this for fact.
They have lawyers and the people of the town will nor let it go. His son is like a dog with a bone.
