I live 20 minutes from East Palestine. We watched it on the news, had a buddy on a neighboring volunteer fire department that was in the know. The told us they were about to blow it up but they were waiting on more thorough evacuation. At that time, they were telling the media it was going to be a slow release, not a charge. Anyway, since I'm West of it and at a higher elevation, I've been unaffected. Is there something you guys want me to do that would help this thread?
Yeah, every bad news I've heard or seen has been from people not from the area. I would go film something for you guys but I don't think there's anything interesting to see. If anything changes, I'll be back here to share.
Also, not trying to say nothing shady is going on either. They weren't exactly transparent about any of it and there really are people in that town that are scared and don't know what's going on. I did hear there was doorbell cameras about 10 miles away that captured the glowing hot bearing on the train a few minutes before the derailment.
