Notice Big Mike used the term 'partner' not husband.

Partner is used in the gay community a lot.

He also left out “I” when saying “Love you” which, in statement analysis shows distancing. This could indicate the person is not totally committed to the facts in the statement. You always have to pay attention to pronouns.
