Interesting. I've had 2 children in the last 2 years and both had blood taken. I've had 5 children total in the last 12 years and they've all had blood taken to screen for genetic diseases.

I was amazed when the PA moms I know said their kiddos didn’t get typed at birth. I figured it was a given for a blue state.

MO wasn’t as surprising, but I still expected it to occur.
