Satan/Shaitan is "The Adversary'. "The Accuser' is equally a good name.
Some say that Lucifer is not the same entity as Satan.
Both are "of God". Satan came first, and Lucifer seems to have come second.
"Lucifer" in Latin means "The Light Bringer". So yes, in this way he is similar to Prometheus.
And yes, Lucifer is identified with Venus, who shows up in the night sky twice, effectively. At sunset and sunrise. This led the Greeks to think it was two different stars, or two sides of one star, leading to the idea of it being both male and female, etc.
Also in the Bible both Lucifer and Jesus say they are The Morning Star. This leads some to conclude that these two are the same entity (the "Yin and Yang" of each other, perhaps). One said NO to Satan, in the desert. And presumably the other said YES.
I make no assertions that I believe these ideas (e.g. that Jesus is Lucifer). I am responding to your post specifically.
I should also add that in the Book of Enoch, Lucifer is identified as Azazel, a Fallen Angel. His name means, iirc, The Left Hand of God. Hence, he is the opposite of Jesus, The Right Hand.
In Greek Mythology, Zeus (the Sky Prince who became the Sky God) created man, but let's say that his man was the "pre-apple Man". Prometheus was Zeus' fellow god (a Titan like Zeus' Father) and friend, and it was Prometheus who gave Man fire, going against Zeus' wishes. So "post-apple Man" was created by Prometheus, in a way.
Here fire could be viewed as actual fire. But I think it is more appropriate to think of "fire" here as knowledge.

Thank you. This is fascinating stuff.
