Crimes only matter if you have a functioning justice system that applies to everyone, which isn't the case anymore. There is a different set of rules for us versus them.

Exactly. Try spilling a quart of fuel oil in your yard and you will have hasmat trucks racing to your house, will be fined, and will be required to dig a whole as big as your house to contain the spill.
