Before you go ahead and downvote me or yell obscenities my way, hear me out.
I have been thinking about the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, and I have been contemplating about if it was a Deep State attack or a tragic accident. I was also intrigued on why Trump haven't commented on the incident yet.
Here are a couple of facts that was given to me:
1.) The MSM claimed that the cause of the derailment is a mechanical malfunction in one of the rail car's axles that was not caught and repaired before the event.
2.) The train's wheels(?) were on fire and was allowed to travel for 20 miles before finally derailing in East Palestine, Ohio
With that in mind, I might have an hypothesis on what might have happened:
1.) One of the rail cars have a mechanical problem in it's axle that was not caught before the train took off. The reason why it might not have been caught might be because of the lack of well-rested and prepared manpower to inspect and repair the rail cars. Remember that the rail workers were unhappy about the increased stress and workload that they have to do on little pay and they were about to strike a few months ago. That is, before Biden effectively crushed the rail workers' planned strike without bothering to address their concerns much. I bet that the workers are still overworked and underpaid and probably did not have enough energy to conduct proper inspections, nor do any timely repairs as needed.
2.) The train took off and eventually started to spark and combust on it's wheels. The train engineers probably noticed the fire, eventually, and contacted the rail network headquarters to report the problem and ask for additional instructions on what to do.
3.) I theorize that the engineers were instructed by their headquarters to maintain speed while the network's emergency-management personnel work out a solution to the problem. Applying the brakes is out of the question since the train is not equipped with the proper breaking systems to stop safely in a short notice.
4.) The train derailed in East Palestine, Ohio. Either the emergency-management personnel failed to come up with a solution in time or that their proposed solution did not work before the train derailed. I theorize that their solution is to have the train continue onward past East Palestine, Ohio into the relatively straight and very unpopulated areas of east Pennsylvania where it would either safely stop by whatever braking the train has left, or be derailed intentionally. Even if it was derailed intentionally in east Pennsylvania, there would be no-one around to get hurt or need evacuation. They might even have disaster-management crews on stand-by that can respond rapidly.
The problem with calling this a Deepstate attack is that we lack proof that they intentionally planned the derailment in East Palestine, Ohio as an attack on the American people. What we really need to confirm or deny the maliciousness of the derailment are:
1.) The railway company's written standard emergency procedures for this particular situation (and if they are in-line with industry accepted standards and practices),
2.) What the headquarters instruct the train engineers to do, and
3.) Whatever was the solution the headquarters personnel came up with.
Without information on all of that, we can't really rule beyond reasonable doubt that this is a deep state attack on Americans instead of a tragic accident caused by failures on multiple levels.
That is not to say that there are corrupt guilty parties in this disaster. The rail company is probably guilty for not being up to date on their train upgrades and maintenance (the trains lack industry-standard electronic brakes, lobbied to make them not mandatory for transportation for dangerous cargo, and probably overworked their personnel to the point where the maintenance and safeness of their trains are compromised). The federal government is also guilty for squashing that strike that could've given much needed relief to the workers (enabling them to work more effectively), for probably lying to the American public about the dangers of the chemical fire that ensued afterward, and for covering up/downplaying the scale and magnitude of this disaster that will affect the American public health for years to come.
With regard to points 3 and 4, it's not uncommon for engineers and conductors to be unaware of an issue with a train car on a long train, especially at residential speeds. A truck (the wheel set of a train car) can be in the dirt (off the track) and the crew would be none the wiser until they hit a track sensor, or people manage to wave them down about it.
Dispatch, if they knew about it, would not advise that they maintain speed, as that would risk further derailment. There is no problem solving on the fly. And all trains do have proper braking systems, but no train can stop on a dime with tonnage.
