As you stated, their recent history under Mao is very telling and it does not deviate much from their previous history under the emperors. They have a very brutal history with a culture that does not allow for non conformity. They are imbedded into our country so deep and are on our borders - and they have a military. Too many things are just not looking good where they are concerned. But you are right. We are so far from truth that it is hard to see how we are going to pull this shit show out of the fire. That being said, I do have faith in the American people. If anyone can pull themselves up from the brink, it will be us. It is in our blood.
American people have to deal with the demons within. All other existential can wait, including the biggest of which you have mentioned and I agree on, CCP.
