Stupidity is reigning supreme, it seems. "Equity" is a fast-track to failure, but, "those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it".
When there's guaranteed equity of outcome/income/living conditions/education, there's no incentive to learn, innovate or be productive, so the result is demoralization, reduced total output/production and mediocrity.
It's never succeeded and won't no matter how many times they say, "it was just not yet correctly implemented," because it's a fundamentally flawed, illogical and impractical ideology that ignores and misunderstands one of, if not THE, most critical components required to make it work -- human nature.
Even the people in "Idiocracy" eventually realized that government officials with unique, innivative non-narrative views who truly believed in, and worked for, the "real" good of the people were the solution to corporatism and "equity" with its associated mediocrity and poverty.
