I was reading Lee Child's latest book, No Plan B. In this book Jack Reacher said something that struck me, that he has learned, and I paraphrase, that if you take out the head of the snake, another head grows and power remains. But if you kill the body of the snake the head becomes useless. (I typed a couple paragraphs after this, but erased them least I get a target on my back.
