I'm glad for El Salvador. I visited a friend there in 2000, La Union. Armed guards everywhere, of every imaginable uniform, at every shop. Yes McDonald's and such had armed guards. Every major intersection out in the country was occupied by a large military vehicle and 4 to 6 soldiers.

Bukele has had a lot to say about the current situation in the US at this time. And he's been spot on.
