Whenever I get the opportunity to talk to one of the "we must support Ukraine against the evil Russians" idiots, I use this line of reasoning:
"Imagine if i 2014, Russian clandestine services overthrew the elected government of Mexico and installed a puppet President loyal to Putin. Then Russia spent the next 8 years laundering billions of dollars through their newly installed criminal network within Mexico, all the while building bioweapons research labs along the Mexico/U.S. border. Do you think the United States would and should be concerned about that? Do you think we might take military action? Because that's EXACTLY what we did in Ukraine over the past 8 years."
In my experience, about 50% are so far gone they just dismiss it out of hand. The other 50% actually take a bit of time to think about it.
