The movie is "Myra Breckinridge", from the book of the same name by Gore Vidal. I recently saw the movie for the first time, and I'm going to try to finish the book just to see if Vidal makes a point of some kind; it's all basically early-70s degenerate propaganda. You can understand, however, why today's trans activists haven't embraced the film. Also, Mae West's contract insisted on her performing two of her songs. As talented as she had been in her youth, these could be used to torture Guantanamo prisoners.
