The KJV was produced with much reliance on the earlier Tyndale Bible....Tyndale was himself martyred at the stake....the bloody history of mostly Catholic oppression against the Tyndale and KJV recommends it for anyone who knows their Bible.
No, I said the opposite. That he played both/all sides, politically. Funding the KJV was a sot to one group.
I don't defend him on anything. Just that funding the KJV didn't mean much to him, therefore you can't really discredit the KJV by stapling it to him as a fag. It doesn't matter if he was. Too many good men were martyred for producing the KJV and its largest source, the Tyndale Bible.
