Just don’t let your dog eat xylitol (aka birch sugar). It’s poisonous to them.
...my pups only get Snickers Bars...
...doggy winks...
...seriously, thanks for the heads up....
Chocolate can be deadly for dogs.
...it is the semi sweet dark, large amounts and little dogs...
...there isn't really that much chocolate in a fun size snickers bar,,,,
...someone told me that raisins are more deadly than chocolate to dogs...
...it is like taking baby aspirin when we were kids....
...no one I knew ever died from them...
...but boy now you would get tossed in jail for giving a child an aspirin....
Chocolate in general is toxic. If I recall correctly this actually goes for humans as well.
The problem isn't often the death (or the gas as said below, though I hear that's an issue) but pancreatitis.
Also yes, one grape (and therefore raisin) can be all it takes to kill a dog. It's insane.
My aunt years ago bred Pekes and she fed her two parent dogs little squares of Hershey bars every day. They both died of old age.
Just don't let them eat TOO many Snickers...THE CHOCOLATE creates a gas that is something fierce...🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Of course that is depending on the size of your hostel...Just a thought!!!!!
...howls...
...only on extended hikes...
...one tiny fun size apiece...
...doggy winks...
Yeah, I try to be xylitol free in my house. I'd rather take my chances getting sick with the coof than risk my best friend dying.
