I never got into the older Chargers and Road Runner, nor the Challengers/Cuda. I've always loved the '71-72 Road Runners and '73-74 Chargers.
I have a '72 Roadrunner on-deck. It's a triple black 400 factory manual car that came with black painted bumpers and a gold stripe across the roof. That thing will be a garage queen when I build it.
The '73 Charger is also triple black and built as a bad ass driver with a warmed over 383 (from my first Mopar), 5 speed TKX manual, Sniper EFI, Wilwood disk brakes, hydrabooster, 3.55 torsen diff, calvert bars, fat swaybars, larger torsion bars, 2" drop spindles, 18" wheels (245/285), and near perfect original seats. I just need to finish installing all the TKX then slap on new bumpers to call it "done". But... everybody with a project car knows it's "just done for now".
That's a nice pair of rides. I've got a tricked out S-class Audi, a Ducati and a BMW motorcycle. Then the regular vehicles - Ram and couple of VW SUVs. I really want a muscle car. I'm tempted on a Challenger Hellcat for pure performance. But I really would like to get a late 60' Mopar something - RoadRunner being closest to the budget. I'm inclined towards something built already as I don't have the time to build something right now.
What kind of BMW? I was close to buying a S1000RR in 2015. I have a '20 Triumph Tiger 1200 and a '71 Tiger 650 now.
I was very close to buying a '16 Challenger Hellcat last month. Wife told me I needed to pay off my '16 Ram 1500 first. I hope I can get one for a good price, because I firmly believe they have hit the bottom and will only go up in value.
Kinda like I when I found a '06 Viper for $25k and I told everyone that would be a $60k car in ten years. Well... it took 8 years and I never saw such a great deal again.
R1200RT. The S1000RR is bad ass. A lot of bike. It hurts to fold myself up like that these days. I've got an '18 Ram 1500 - blacked out and capped. Looks like 5-0 rolling up. Should've bought that Viper for 25k if it was good to go or needed minor work. I think the Hellcats will be good investments.
Nice choice of bikes.
Let me tell you brother, that '06 viper was MINT!!! Only 21k miles. Epic amount of torque.
Got a '14 Ram 2wd instead; get a practical vehicle they said. What a waste of money. Traded it 2 years later for the '16 1500 4wd Laramie. I was driving a '02 Ram 2500 ST 4wd v10 manual on 37s getting 8mpg. Still have it too, as my hunting & 'redneck towing rig.' I take it where I don't want to take the fancy truck.
