Nobody is saying its against the rules mate and no one is taking your post down for as you put it being 'against the rules'. Rather than make a big song and dance about it and make a boody post about it, have this dialogue on the post it appears with the moderator. Although I think the fact the person asking you to provide a link being a moderator is irrelevant, links are always good to see otherwise it's just another unverifiable post.
