Not quite as simple as the guy opening fire on a bunch of kids. There was a nearby party where "an altercation" took place and moved over to the gas station parking lot. It's unclear how many people were shooting, who they were shooting at, etc. Were the other kids shooting at the arrested 15-yr-old and the 35-yr-old and they returned fire? Who instigated this? Some are cooperating, others are not. We simply don't know. The aggravated assault charge is interesting and implies, most likely, robbery in this case.
The fact is this did make the news at MSM this time (CNN, Fox, NY Post, USA Today and others). This isn't some MK Ultra wind-up toy who snapped and walked into a salon to take everyone out. It stemmed from a fight at a party and spun out of control, a little kid even getting caught in the crossfire. Maybe wait until we have more details before assuming it should be a FF incident.
If you're waiting for MSM to actually give a crap if anyone dies in violent incidents - be they white or black or any other color - that would be futile. If the MSM can't use an incident to drive strife between races or other groups, set them at each other's throats, they're simply not interested in covering the incident in depth.

I never made the assumption of FF. I posted this to point out that this story didn’t gain traction because the shooter wasn’t white.
No, you didn't imply that it was an under-reported FF incident, the notthebee article did. I'm sorry, my reply should have been worded better. The ntb article completely skipped over the released fact that this altercation started at a nearby party and moved to the parking lot where the shootings occurred. It was an argument that escalated and got out-of-hand. The ntb article also states that MSM news outlets ignored the incident and this is not true either; several reported on it.
In my last/third paragraph I should have said "If anyone is waiting..." instead. From what I can tell after reading a few different articles (and there's not much to go on as yet) and seeing a video of the governor addressing the incident, it appears the shooter was a habitual criminal, being let off the hook time and again without real consequences. I suspect this is at least partially why the MSM isn't delving further into the incident and splaying it all over their front pages in an attempt to gain momentum for gun control, their usual ploy.
The reporting by ntb seems, at least to me, to be trying to push a narrative by omitting known facts and by falsely stating that MSM never covered the incident. There are probably very few people on the planet who hate the corrupt fake news media more than I do, but I also don't like to see non-MSM pushing narratives either. I've lost a little respect for notthebee here, nothing to do with you, OP.
