I seem to remember hearing that Jehovah Witnesses couldn't accept donated blood, and there was some way to get their own blood for transfusions ahead of time. Any anons know more about this than I do?
I recently called a blood bank to ask the process. I was told you need to get a Dr's prescription (either for yourself to store your own blood or for your compatible family member (specifically named) to donate blood for your surgery. The blood draw needs to be done at least 3 days in advance to the surgery date "to complete their testing." My fear is not trusting that you would 100% receive the correct sample.
There is a post by eagle-eyes2020 here with some videos and info on bloodless medicine and surgery:

Apparently no blood is acceptable for transfusion for Jehovah's Witnesses.
