I wouldn’t be shocked if one of the agencies was testing something and just hasn’t told the others. Wouldn’t be the first time they used Americans as Guinea pigs.

Came here to say that. At this point it could have been USG. I also think there is Kabul Syndrome. I've suffered from screaming tinnitus ever since being posted at the embassy there. Always felt better when I wasn't at the embassy.
And tinnitius is supposed to be something in the brain, not the ears.
