Japan births fall to record low as population crisis deepens
The number of births registered in Japan plummeted to another record low last year -- the latest worrying statistic in a decades-long decline that the country's authorities have failed to reverse despite their extensive efforts.
Everyone is in or near the major cities working. It is not easy to have a family. It's easier not to have a family.
In rural areas, towns are becoming ghost towns. Someone even made life size dolls to put around the village. You can buy a home very cheaply now, if you follow the government's regulations on restoring it.
I think they should move companies into the rural areas so families could live in these empty towns. Subsidize childcare and other areas that make having a family more easy and enjoyable.
