This is why it is now the time of the Autists (TM).
We have our own rules, and letting some bullshit threat over grades doesn't even factor.
Never have been, for me.
And I had countless lessons, where I stood up, because before also everyone was outraged, urged each other "we have to do s.th." and than I did it (because I had to), stood there alone without anyone having my back.
Nevertheless I can't do otherwise. And fuck-your-rules and autist are my pronouns.
