I watched the long version of this event. It was about 45 minutes long. Includes multiple body cam angles of the same events. I think the moral of the story of the boy who cried wolf to many times applies here. Listen to the conversations between the police and the hospital staff when the police first arrived. They were told this was the second hospital she had been to that day. It was cold outside and she was trying to go somewhere warm. She caused trouble for the staff like she did for the responding officers. The hospital said they checked her and there was nothing wrong with her. When the police first approached she seems fine, communicates and seems to understand what the police are telling her. However, she is totally uncooperative. The police are experiencing the same bad behavior that the hospital staff reported to them. It is easy to say the police should have done this or that when you know how the story ends. But what if you were there in that moment, dealing with someone who is uncooperative, and doctors have told you that she is fine what would you have done. This is a tragedy and she should have been able to get some help but not sure under the circumstances how that would have happened.
word it how you like, she died in police custody and she was in custody due to hospitals refusing the treat her. multiple medical professionals "examined" her and misdiagnosed her condition. now she is dead. so the police are blameless because they were just following orders?
