I wonder if there were multiple operations going down at the same time. Looking back I felt some things were strangely pacifying at the event (playing pop music loudly) while you had other pockets trying to rile people up (people shouting "We need men, now is your time!!")
I think Babbit was obviously a white hat op to quiet things down and may have had legal significance as well. That is, violence was needed to meet certain legal requirements for executive action.
I totally agree The guy beside us would play really loud music for a minute or so then turn it off for about 20 minutes then turn it back on. And this person, I'm assuming the person was a woman her whole face was covered with a sign that said Don't trust your Government trust the CCP...I went over to her screaming for her to carry that sign, she needed to go around and shake every Vets hand and mine because my Dad didn't die in Vietnam for communism.
