This is just in Portland proper. There's still about a dozen or so in the metro area. This is a drop in the bucket for Walmart inc. I feel for the hundreds maybe thousands of small businesses that were forced to close down because of government induced crime. Its a disgrace
That's great but missing the point of the story/post. Small businesses pulling out is bad, yes, but fucking Wal-Mart having to pull up stakes really shows just how much a DMZ the place has become.
Lived there for 40 years. This is what happens when Californians flee and go to Oregon and offer buckets of money for rental homes and renters are forced onto the streets. Just that simple. The class resentment runs deep!
