The teams that should be watching for foreign threats are concocting domestic threats and figuring out how to blame everything on the only group of Americans who are trying to prevent them.

Unfortunately the person(s) they have decided are the enemy, is not the same person(s) that group of Americans believes is an enemy. Quite the opposite in fact. So they believe they are upholding the oath. And so does a group of Americans.
