I was suspicious of that.

For 10 days he was voted to do each nights challenge ( suggesting he was loathed by the UK public).

But

When it moved to voting people off he outlasted 7 or 8 others out of 12.

Suggesting to me that some form of manipulation occurred each night to keep the sheep quiet.

He even outlasted the original Queen of woke- Boy George.

I thought that it was common practice to keep the hated ones until the last moment in order to prolong their punishment. Also to give them false hope that they might win.
