The ironic thing is that, yes indeed, Barry will now have to convince everyone that he was wrong, and he that he is actually a citizen of Kenya, and will have to beg for you to believe him now, to try to escape treason and It will not work.

I don't think foreign birth will excuse anyone who has taken solemn oaths with legal implications. It will be just one more charge of law violation.
