I often wondered if his Russian wife was a set up, that he fell for. She was used to take him down. He had enough money to make his own movies, and he was dangerous because he was getting the truth out via movies. Also, he really made a lot of Js mad over the Passion of Christ and the rant about who ran Hollywood.
In a recent interview he recalled arriving to Hollywood from Australia and being woefully naïve to the dark world he had entered.
