Theoden was possessed by Saruman The White. When Gandalf shows up to exorcise, Saruman assumes Gandalf is still The Gray and taunts that he has no power to save Theoden. Unbeknownst to Saruman, Gandalf’s sacrifice when fighting the Balrog resulted in Gandalf coming back even stronger. Now he’s Gandalf The White, and he drives Saruman’s influence out of Theoden.

Without the story’s background info the movie line “YOU HAVE NO POWER HERE” is kind of funny.
