Is because these crooks are allowed to pause trading and halt the demise. How is that shit legal? Free market my ass!!

Have your shares held directly in Computershare (the transfer agent for GameStop and most big corporations) instead of in a brokerage. Depending on if you buy your shares directly from Computershare, or if you transfer them there from a brokerage, they will be classified as either "Plan" or "Book". You want them in "Book". Swapping them from Plan to Book only takes a few clicks of a mouse on the Computershare website.
