Junk isn’t a great term for it, but as you mentioned it refers to pre-1965 coins made of silver. Just for everyone’s reference here are popular terms and their content.
Bullion: 99.9% silver
Sterling: 92.5% silver
“Junk”: 90.0% silver
Just call it constitutional silver
