There is another difference--character.

One's perception of Trump improves consistently when one studies him closely way back to his childhood. Were I his mother I would have been very proud of him.

DeSantis has lately shown an undeserved arrogance, not so much confidence, and is no true competition for Trump among the base of conservatives.
