It's good advice to have cash on hand at all times if you have the means and the means to store it safely.

That's the beauty of prepping. It makes sense regardless of whether immediate circumstances justify it.

I don't have the place where I'm comfortable with that much cash at home. So I have maybe $1k at most. But, I do have two gold wedding bands from a divorce decades ago. Never thought of it as planning. Kek.
