Crypto is sent to others from wallet to wallet. I own crypto but don't store it on an exchange and I never will.
I used bitcoin to purchase my ivermectin. The payment went directly from my storage wallet to the online pharmacy's wallet in India. No exchange involved. Exchanges are used to purchase crypto with cash or trade one crypto for another.
I was completely against all of this for years because I didn't understand it. I'm still not sure it's the solution to our problem but I do own some as well as gold and silver.
Honestly the technology to use it is easier than navigating this forum. Anyone who can make their way around here can probably figure out crypto.
If the day comes where cash is scarce and the many people who can pay only have crypto, the businesses are going to figure out how to accept crypto. Silver and gold are never going away but it's hard to exchange silver and gold. You can't exactly shave down slivers if gold to mail to your electric provider.
Again not saying it's the answer but it's definitely very misunderstood. I was one of the people who fought with my son's over it. After many heated arguments I decided to educate myself so I could help them see they were wrong. And it turned out I was the one misunderstanding it.
So how do you obtain goods with it, exactly?
How do you pay bills?
Outlaw exchanges, come down harshly on crypto; who accepts crypto?
You can't pay bills, you can't purchase goods, you can't turn it into anything.
Exchanges are the only reason crypto is working for the moment.
