These statements get wheeled out and mockingbirded around, and we are all supposed to digest it, as it makes its way through the news-cycle. What's really going on?

In my opinion, Credit Suisse failed - a great swiss institution for a supposedly neutral country, that prided itself on providing privacy. But Obama demanded that they reveal the named of Americans who had accounts there. in 2012, under the threat of taking away SWIFT. S the bank reluctantly provided the names, Two things happened: The world suddenly saw that Swiss bank accounts are no longer safe or private; and Credit Suisse refused to take American customers anymore. Arguably this was the card at the bottom of the house of cards.

Another thing that is about to happen is Xi is going to Moscow. The two superpowers are strengthening relations, and the USA is not invited. don't look there!
