At the risk of being unpopular, yet again, sex does not come down to just chromosomes. This is a good intro.
Chromosomes are just a plan. That plan then needs to be executed and sometimes that fails. Imagine building houses. You could have one 2-storey plan and one 1-storey plan. One should turn into a house and one into a bungalow.
However, if the materials are late for the second storey it does not get built and the roof is fitted over the first floor. OK, with houses you can delay elements of the work but baby production does not have that luxury. So you could end up with a single storey bungalow with an incongruous staircase that goes nowhere. Stuff like that can happen to people.
Also, every man with XY chromosomes has a complete plan to make a woman in every cell! Some people can have XXY chromosomes.
Basically, every feature the female body has, the male body has as well. It just comes down to size, shape and placement.
I am a bit of a fatalist when it comes to these things. You are what you are. I feel sorry for people who feel they need operations to make their body match their gender. Why not just accept that you are what you are?
Female reproductive organs don't work for some years, then they do and then they don't again. No need for a sex change every time that happens!
The important thing is to make your SIL happy about herself again and that seems to be going quite well. I don't think she has anything to worry about.
I think the main idea is to stop thinking that men and women are different!
Sounds odd but think about it. We both have heads, two eyes, two arms, two legs, two nipples. That is the easy part.
We both have a pair of gonads. That is, two mechanisms that produce cells with only half the usual number of chromosomes in them. One produces eggs and the other sperm. They all start off inside the body but men's descend - through an opening that women also have.
We both have erectile tissue that can be very sensitive. Size is the main difference. Even the prostate gland has a female equivalent in the Skene gland. Both sexes have an Adam's Apple it is just that in women it is less prominent.
Everyone has an X chromosome. Men will also have a Y chromosome. This is basically an X chromosome with most of it missing! Women have two Xs which gives them better reliability. Men can get illnesses because they could not choose the best genes because they only had one set to choose from.
In car terms, we have one production line that makes basically one type of car but there are options for wheels, engine size and paint job.
Well you make a convincing argument for being human, but in order for procreation to happen, you need completely separate sets of genes (xx&xy) to reproduce. That takes a completely different capability that only each gender can provide to fulfill the demands of procreation.
I get where you are coming from, and I guess I just want to say my original post was about a completely healthy xx person feeling sad she was losing (in her mind) the organs that make her a female.
You are right. Your SIL needs to feel happy about herself. That is the priority.
As to reproductive organs, the main components are the eggs and sperm. These are basically just cells with only half the usual number of chromosomes in both sexes.
Externally, one sex typically has a larger version of what the other sex has. As for lips, one sex has a separate pair and the other has the pair sewn up along the edge.
I apologise if this comes across as unseemly. I have this inconvenient character flaw that wants people to see things exactly the same way that I do!
The uterus isn’t healthy. She started bleeding again after menopause. Large amounts of clots. Pap showed high activity of precancerous cells. Why wait for cancer to develop and leave the ovaries to always worry about.
And to be honest, she had both Pfizer jabs, but no boosters. After my visit last time and having her watch “Died Suddenly” she video chatted and wanted me to look at some of the clots coming out. She was worried they were the kind clogging arteries. I was like “No, those are normal clots, but you need to get in asap”.
While she is very conservative, she fell for the jab nonsense. I’m just glad she called me and did due diligence instead of waiting around for cancer to start.
I have to look back over posts about fenben. May try to start he in that also.
She will always be a woman. She grew up as a girl and then blossomed into a woman.
The important thing is she needs to be healthy, and if the surgery will keep her healthy that is all that matters.
Research Hormone Replacement Therapy ( HRT) 25 to 30 years ago, HRT was Demonized because Science believed it may cause breast and other cancers.
It is believed now to have been another total fabrication, and HRT was relatively safe and mostly benificial to the woman, helping her cope with aging and general health much better than a woman who had a hysterectomy and was not using HRT.
Again, please research this very important subject, and I wish your SIL all the best.
The usual rider, I'm not a doctor, please carry out your own research.
Thank you for a reasoned response :-). I had a hyster at age 39 because of pelvic floor issues … so glad I gave birth to three beautiful children and glad that thing is gone now 😂😅👍
It happens! I said I gather your SIL is post menaparsal, then after I posted the comment I saw that your had already told another anon she was! Oops,I missed that!
We all miss things sometimes, especially with the crazy situation we find ourselves in!
When you see your SIL,have a good time if you can. Whether she'll be recovering from the operation and you'll be busy doing stuff, you'll just have to see how it goes!
And I am still on HRT pellet implants. Every three months. I am on top of my blood levels, but have to say, I feel great at 60! And I’m not overweight. I swim, bike and run… Three sprints planned for next summer!
OMG! It is the best! I am so active, strong and capable. I also recommend it for men. Even my very conservative husband is up for trying it.
I could be considered a hypocrite, but I think as adults (in our late 50’s early 60’s) we can make a reasoned decision to go on with the hormones we were naturally given.
We obviously are male and female. We are not trying to change our genders. But if that little push into our “elderly years” has a beneficial push, why not?
There is nothing wrong with giving nature a helping hand.
You must have started HRT at the right time. I have a relative that was on it since the late 1960s. She was doing really well.
Then about 25 years ago there was that scare about breath cancer and her Doctor took her off it.
Later it came out that there was no problem with HRT but she never went back on to it. Over the years she slowly started to decline. It was a shame she never started to use it again.
Once again, keep doing what you doing. You are having a full, enjoyable life!
And honestly, I’m not ready to go though menopause. If they can use hormones to change people from one gender to the other, why can’t I use them to just keep going at the rate I was?
It is working for me :-). Like I said earlier, it could be an oxymoron. Did I say that? Not specifically, but I am benefiting from them, and not becoming a slug and fat and unable to do shit.
I have 40 more years of good life with them in board :-)
I plan on living to 100 and fighting it (aging) and the world whilst doing it :-)
When anons ask for prayers and they get stickies, how is that different than this convo that relates to our personal loved ones who are experiencing real life affects of the jab, and then discussing that? I really am curious why this has a different?
That's the criteria I use. XX or XY.
There are some rare variations of that, but that usually coincides with a syndrome of problems.

Confusingly, all these people have XY chromosomes

I understand all the anomalies regarding sex chromosomes.
You can probably answer the question of why men have nipples then?!
If I remeber correctly, at 19 weeks we are all prepared to be female, and then the Y takes over and forms the outward genitalia.
I think the main idea is to stop thinking that men and women are different!

Doesn’t bother me anon ! I’m a biologist/nurse.
Now she tells me!!
Maybe it was nine weeks? Been too long since genetics class ;-)
Bottom line is she is post menopausal, gave birth to two beautiful humans but had the jab, and is now bleeding and clotting uncontrollably. Bad news.
The uterus isn’t healthy. She started bleeding again after menopause. Large amounts of clots. Pap showed high activity of precancerous cells. Why wait for cancer to develop and leave the ovaries to always worry about.

I am happy to hear you are doing well. You have the experience to talk to your SIL from that situation.
I gather she is post menopausal. She probably won't need to use HRT,but she could talk to a Doctor if she needs to.
Wishing you both all the best.take care and keep safe, fren.
Oh I think I may have been hyperbolic with that other response.
U/dirty30, you were perceptive, and I appreciate that. We should all read the comments before responding, eh?
It happens! I said I gather your SIL is post menaparsal, then after I posted the comment I saw that your had already told another anon she was! Oops,I missed that!

No worries anon :-)
I appreciated your response. I am actively looking at some of your links. I am thankful for the sharing we can all do.
Isn’t this what we have now? Since VOAT and Reddit went away?
It's good to have this exchange of information,we learn something new everyday.
Anyway SassyLass, I'll give you a warm greeting from Australia. Keep doing what you are doing,it sounds like it's keeping you young!
Fren from Alaska sends you well wishes also :-)
And I am still on HRT pellet implants. Every three months. I am on top of my blood levels, but have to say, I feel great at 60! And I’m not overweight. I swim, bike and run… Three sprints planned for next summer!
I just read your comment about HRT. That sounds excellent! If your Doctor is happy to keep you on it, that is probably the best thing you could do.
Do you feel like a young 60 y/o ? Often that is the case. HRT can be very beneficial for women and help maintain quality of life.
OMG! It is the best! I am so active, strong and capable. I also recommend it for men. Even my very conservative husband is up for trying it.

The hormones I started on in my 30’s were just replacement for all I lost. I appreciate your input!
And honestly, I’m not ready to go though menopause. If they can use hormones to change people from one gender to the other, why can’t I use them to just keep going at the rate I was?

Keep doing it! It's keeping you young, fit and taking on life with both hands. You go for it,girl!
HRT should be used more instead of having people deteriorate and not be able to enjoy life!
When anons ask for prayers and they get stickies, how is that different than this convo that relates to our personal loved ones who are experiencing real life affects of the jab, and then discussing that? I really am curious why this has a different?
And NO ETOH tonight. :-)
Ok, I ask for prayer for my SIL. Does this make the topic more personal? What does it take to be a real anon to use this forum?
I don’t know how to do am IM on iPhone. Sorry - it’s all I have. But please contact me with your personal grievances.
Excuse me, but so many other topics get pinned, so do you have a persona bias against me, or my topic?
I bet irl we could be warriors togeher, but it seems to me you are fighting against me?
Could actually be a blessing for her, no more birth control needed!
Thank you for your response :-) I guess it really doesn’t matter about her ability anymore / it is more a concern for health after receiving the jab…
