Silver will always have value as an industrial metal in many industries, so it doesn't necessarily need to be the small scale trade metal that it was historically. That's the beauty of silver's safety.
Silver is likely not going to lose it's importance as we deepen our understanding of material science.
Gold is money, for sure, I wish I could afford more of it lol. silver to me is more valuable as an asset for it's unique properties. As electricity tech changes silver will forever be useful.
Silver is also the most endangered element on the periodic table of endangered elements.
It's actually next in line to go extinct.
Gold isn't even endangered.
Pegging physical goods to the blockchain is not a viable path as this requires a trusted third party, something that the blockchain technology made possible through Bitcoin is supposed to prevent.
Just look at Circle and their USDC stablecoin. They were supposed to be 1:1 with the US dollar, but then their bank (SVB) failed.
So basically if some entity steals/confiscates gold, the link to the blockchain er service would be busted.
No need for attitude u/AsianPropaganda ...
I also am en observer of the present and I know that from a technical standpoint it is just bullshit without enforcement.
If you had read the bitcoin whitepaper you would know why.
You attitude and massive presupposition is retarded.
That's a big IF. but what if your IF didn't?
Research bitcoin. eg. Gmoney on truth.
