Can you offer some more explanation for those of us who don't understannd this stuff? I just checked the Dow Jones and its up 345 pts. But that's the extent of my "knowledge" .
Thanks
Since SVB went under, a highly unusual amount of trade halts are taking place. Since I have an idea that EO 13818 and maybe also 13848 is in play with the banks, I am interested in the non banking companies that are being trade halted.

some other anons contributed to the discussion last week.
All of the stocks on that list had price movement that was so fast they stopped allowing trades until people can catch up on the movement.
Banks are in free fall.
Yep. Interesting to watch.
Great! This is interesting stuff. Thanks, anon!
Ah, thanks. I will look at that. I did notice the First Republic Bank was halted in your list.
Yes, so if you look at the thread from last week, i did some cursory research on the non banking companies halted, and found some common themes. China, biotech, gmo, Healthcare, etc. Over and over. If you get really interested, there are about three days that I posted just a bit of research on each non banking company.
Thanks!
There are various prescriptive "safeguards" a certain % drop will halt trading for an hour or two another level will halt trading for the rest of the day.
Yes, it's a complex system. I don't know why some of these listed drop off the next day, and others remain. Do you?
Thanks. I appreciate the info. So... there they are saving us from our own panic. Or, another way to say it is that there is no truly free market.
The other way to view this is that there is a volatile change, and so then, why is that stock moving up or down so rapidly? For example, is B of A being dumped? Is DWAC mooning? etc.
