100+ Billion is enough to buy a house for about 450,000 people, which is the HUD.gov estimate of the homeless in this country. 100B divided by 450K is about 222,222.22 for each person. It would solve the homeless problem.
I don't take you as being a downer. But that much money, for those not able to own a house for the reasons you mention, would also go quite a ways towards drug rehab or mental health treatment. My point really is that money could be used so much better here at home. And I personally really hate seeing homeless people not getting the help they need. I don't understand why we the taxpayers have so little say in how our money is spent. I shouldn't have to pay taxes if it's going to fund an illegal war. Sorry for the rant. Cheers, fren.
Where I live. There are programs to help these people. They can give them shelter, rehab, and food. I don't mean soup kitchen food, I mean food they can prepare. Hell they even teach them how to cook if they don't know.
Hardly any of them take the offer up even though it's well known in the homeless community.
I agree that there has to be a solution and wish we could control the system better, but that's why we are all here.
Didn't we all know we were in a shitload of trouble when Obama got away with sending palettes of cash to...Iran, wasn't it?
Whatever the amount is, they really only got 90% of it. Don’t forget the 10% to the Big Guy.
Yes, it would be really interesting to know what proportion had been creamed off into various people's bank accounts.

Temporarily, yes.
Not quite. It's more complicated than giving them all a house. Alot of them are addicted to drugs and people handing them money for nothing.
Not trying to be a downer.

Didn't take it as a rant Fren!
Good question. Amount pledged vs. amount actually sent...who knows?
Dont forget how much of that was funneled back to the dems and rinos?
Saw 130B recently, so guessing much more
