On March 23, 2020 when I first heard the schools were closing, my family packed up and drove to Sedona. We stayed for 5 weeks, hiking almost every day and paying the lowest price I had ever paid for a condominium. There was no traffic during that time, either. We were always by ourselves, except when we shopped, just like everyone else, but we were outside in nature.
Sadly, I did have to homeschool every day, too. That sucked, because we pay for a private school and didn't catch any price break for having to teach our kids ourselves.
I felt guilty for being so happy during that time.
