I think they're trying to meme the idea that many pictures online are fake, to train people not to trust their eyes, so when the REALLY bad stuff that we know will be coming out they won't believe it.
^^^ This. They have convinced society not to trust their reproductive organs and immune systems. Convincing them not to trust their eyes seems like an easier sell, actually.
Thereβs no way that AI can reliably produce pictures as detailed as these but consistently add extra fingers by accident. IMO there is a clear strategy to condition the public to understand that AI has the capacity of producing realistic pictures and videos of anything. Theyβre laying the groundwork now because shit is about to get wild.
My daughter used AI to produce a mountain with trees scene and it came up with a mountain scene with trees and added a few grizzly bears and a man with his legs in the air being 'eaten or attacked' by the bear!! πππ
And other weird pictures, but yes the hands etc., are the hard ones for AI
