This after Macron recommended fighting for democracy in Iran, Venezuela etc., when there were protests.
Fine in fuzzywuzzy lands, but not in la France. In his own country, protestors are illigitimate rabble, that must be cracked down on.
Also, he is forcing the legislation through, without letting his parliament any discussion upon the subject. When people are expected to 'respect democracy' but even their representatives are not given a voice, what alternative is there, but take to the streets?. It is not so much the issue of 'waiting another two years to receive a pension' as it is a gross neglect of how everyone expects democracy to work.
Macron's authoritarian slip is showing.
The French police are always ultra violent.
Came here to say the same, they are known for their excessive violence.
So even the far left corrupt Amnesty is denouncing Macron. INTERESTING. Worried about justice coming for them too.?
They say « Hell is paved with good intentions » Amnesty is one of these « good intentions ».
So true. I guess they can all hang out with their buddies at Greenpeace. No pun intended.
