assuming this is an accurate portrayal of things, I didn't interpret China's demands for collateral inappropriate. if the "developer" wants the money they need to be confident enough to put up the collateral. if they are not they shouldn't accept the loan. I'm a real estate developer so very familiar with this concept albeit on a smaller scale
